Abstract
The purpose of the work is to improve the technology of using a block gravel filter in hydrogeological
wells by using new binding materials – sugar and sugar production waste, that will improve the technological
properties of the block gravel filter, increase the service life of wells and reduce the overall cost of mining.
Practical value is the development of a new binder for a block gravel filter that has improved technical
and operational characteristics. The use of sugar and its production wastes as binders can reduce the
hydraulic resistance of a block gravel filter, increase its porosity, and ensure uniform distribution of gravel
around the filter string after it is installed in the well.
