PHYSICO-CHEMICAL MODIFICATION OF THE METALLIC SUBSTRATES SURFACE TO ENSURE HIGH ADHESION AND DURABILITY OF COATINGS

Keywords: surface modification (functionalization), nickel substrates, mechanism of spontaneous inoculation of diazonium salts, adhesive contact at the substrate-polymer coating interface

Abstract

The most effective complex of surface preparation of metal substrates from alloy steels is defined that provides the maximum durability of adhesive contact on the interface of a substrate-polymeric covering. It involves the chemical grafting of functional groups that provide wetting of substrate surfaces with solutions or melts of oligomeric binders and chemical interaction with coating components. Grafting was carried out by treating pre-prepared metal surfaces with solutions of aminosilanes.
